Great Review for the Gardener Trilogy
A friend asked me the other day if I ever wondered if we, human beings, were like ants to some giant beings that looked down on us. I then promptly handed him my copy of Hot Times in the Garden of Eden and told him to enjoy this book because I thought he might find it rather interesting. Julie W.
This is a great book. The story was fresh and new and really made me stop and wonder about the world we live in. McKibben’s description of life on Uor is so compelling, that it almost makes you wonder how many “contests” really do happen every day. One of the most memorable lines in the book comes as McKibben relays a sub-story from Uor, where he states that the “winners write history and much of history is simply the fantasies and musings of the ruling class.” If nothing else, this book is entertaining, interesting, and can be as meaningful or meaningless as the reader chooses. Julie W.
A page turner all the way through! I couldn't put it down! Cheryl P.
This is one of the most entertaining reads I've experienced in a long time. Dianne H.
The Salt Castle is an exciting read. Allie M.
I'm glad the author decided to publish the whole trilogy in a single volume (Seven Deadly Sinners). It would have been a shame to have to stop and wait for the next installment. Tommy Y.
